Written in 1999 while living in Irvine, California. I was training techs for a new call center being built for the company I worked for. Little did I know I was training my own job away. I hit the hot tub at the company provided housing one night with my chain smoking room mate, and ended up getting a double ear infection from it. With no insurance I could not go to the doctor nor get any pain medications, so all I could really do is drink to kill the pain. So in a drunken stuper I picked up my old Gretsch acoustic guitar and this song popped out of the pain.
